The Medicine Space

ARCHAEOLoGY OF the FEMININE SOUL

ABOUT US

The Medicine Space is a retreat centre and place of refuge for women to nourish the starved feminine in a patriarchal world. We offer a safe space for women to gather, heal, unlearn, reclaim, and spiritually self-actualise with the support of excellent and experienced practitioners as well as a community of sisters who are walking the path side by side.

HOW WE WORK

We marry the realms of integrative trauma therapy, depth and clinical psychology, somatic, expressive, art and dance therapeutic practices, non-dual awareness, and emotional root cause medicine, for a fully immersive and transformative experience. The core pillars of our facilitation approach are integrative, embodied and trauma informed, with the cultivation of safety in the nervous system being one of our key priorities in creating the most supportive foundation to hold the depths of this work.

BEYOND HEALING

we are a laboratory for women to widen their scope of inquiry and investigations toward remembering the forbidden aspects of the feminine that have been buried throughout our collective history but still occupy space in our cellular consciousness, waiting to become knowable.

Our expanded mission is to witness the nurturance and revivification of psychological, emotional, sexual, spiritual and financial literacy in every woman we journey with, returning her to an authentic sense of agency and authority, guiding her to stand in genuine liberated womanhood.

We hope that no matter which phase of life you currently walk with that Medicine Space can provide a sense of safety and belonging within our growing community of women and trusted practitioners and mentors to nourish and support you along your path.

Our Founder - Stephanie Kazolides

the inception of Medicine Space

WAS SEEDED FROM STEPHANIE’S EARLY DAYS OF ACADEMIC RESEARCH INVESTIGATING PEDAGOGICAL METHODS AS A TOOL FOR CRITICAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND LIBERATION, WHILST EXPLORING THE IMPACT
EDUCATION SYSTEMS AND MAINSTREAM MEDIA INSTITUTIONS HAVE ON IMPEDING OUR CAPACITIES TO READ THE WORLD. THESE FORMATIVE YEARS AS AN UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE STUDENT SHAPED. THE FOUNDATION FOR HER WORK WITH MEDICINE SPACE.

SHE LEFT ACADEMIA FEELING COMPELLED AND DEEPLY MOVED TO CREATE A SOLUTION TO THE WAYS IN WHICH OPPRESSIVE PATRIARCHAL SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURES OF SOCIETY DIMINISH AND DAMPEN THE HUMAN SPIRIT AND CAUSE US TO BECOME SPIRITUALLY SICK – THIS LED TO THE BIRTH OF A SPACE FOR EMBODIED RESEARCH FOR WOMEN TO RETRIEVE WHAT HAS BEEN FORCED INTO EXIL. BY A CULTURE THAT DEVALUES THE INFINITE MYSTERY, THE ESSENCE OF WHAT KEEPS US ALIVE, THE FEMININE PRINCIPLE.

THIS SAW THE CREATION OF HER FIRST ‘CURRICULUM’ AND PEDAGOGICAL METHOD FOR AWAKENING CONSCIOUSNESS IN 2016 VIA HER WIDELY ACCLAIMED TRAUMA HEALING PROCESS FOR MILLENNIAL WOMEN THAT HAS WALKED HUNDREDS OF CLIENTS THROUGH ITS TRANSFORMATIVE SIGNATURE PROGRAM, OVER THE LAST DECADE THE WORK HAS EVOLVED AND EXPANDED, REFINING ITSELF ORGANICALLY AS A CONTAINER FOR WOMEN TO NOT ONLY HEAL FROM TRAUMA, BUT TO REMEMBER AND RESTORE THE BURIED WISDOM OF THE PRIMORDIAL FEMININE AND MATRIARCHAL

Stephanie is the founder, creator and visionary behind Medicine Space, facilitator of awakening and women’s practitioner in somatic trauma therapy, the expressive arts, dance and non-dual awareness. She is an eternal student with an eclectic educational background in academia, the healing arts, feminine mysticism and consciousness research – all of which informs the basis for the work offered at Medicine Space.

She is passionately and purposefully driven by a desire for radical social change in the form of individually and collectively re-writing a new paradigm that is rooted in love as opposed to fear. She believes a pathway to doing so, is in healing our inner world through cultivating self-mastery in order to step into true self-authority and spiritual maturity.

Such work takes courage and commitment. She is no advocate for spiritual bypassing, nor guru culture, which she feels only enhances an epidemic of dis-empowered bodies. Rather, it is her sole intention that you walk away from an experience at The Medicine Space feeling better equipped to navigate life on your own terms through having cultivated a deeper sense of trust to your inner voice, your body wisdom, and your innate capacity to heal yourself.

For over a decade Stephanie has been committed to a personal path of self-evolution that is grounded and rooted in the primordial felt sense and non-dual devotional practices. One that intimately intertwines ancient knowledge, psychodynamics, somatic movement, expressive arts and integrative trauma therapies that re-wire the neurological pathways in such potent ways that she is continuously re-learning the depths of herself on this exquisite journey of self-enquiry and self-actualisation.

As a devoted student walking the path, her teachers continue to be pivotal in her own becoming as she has learned how to alchemize her pain and make it her art. To dance with her shadow and stay in connection to the light.

Those whom she has studied with have taught her the textures of fierce unconditional love and radical self-acceptance as the most powerful ingredients for returning to wholeness. They have also gifted her with teachings in the art of creating, and skillfully facilitating a safe container in which to guide others on their own journey of healing  and integration.

It is her sweetest honor to be of service to those on their path to remembering their true divinity, to reclaim the soil of their body, and ultimately their unique power.
